There isn’t a shortage of reusable coffee filters, but the Disk by Able Brewing brings more clarity to the cup with its micro-level precision than any of its nearest competition in the market today.

Designed to be used with the AeroPress Coffee Maker, this reusable filter travels well and is the perfect alternative to paper filters. Available in Standard and Fine variants, the Able’s Disk is 100% designed and manufactured in the USA. Made from a single sheet of stainless steel, the Standard variant has holes laser cut into it whereas the Fine version has over twice the number of holes as the original Standard Disk. When used with the AeroPress, the hundreds of holes in the filter allow a small number of micro grounds and more oils to seep through. This produces a noticeable intense grit similar to a French Press, delivering a fuller-bodied cup of coffee with a stunning flavour profile. Designed by Keith Gehrke in Portland, the metal Disk offers a clean, yet more nuanced cup and is a great choice for those who want an even greater variety of coffees out of their AeroPress.

  • Standard: Its thicker surface allows the filter to last much longer. The reusable variant is ideal for heavy use and can withstand bending and damage. The Standard variant showcases a sturdy build that still produces a full-bodied cup with a distinctly noticeable grit.
  • Fine: The mesh in the Fine variant is 66% thinner as compared to the standard model, features smaller holes that produce less coffee sediment. Keeping the variant lighter on the pocket, the reduced thickness makes this model easier to bend and the damage is more likely to happen. The Fine version gives a very sweet, clean and bold mug of coffee with little to no fines at all.
